My Latest Creation!!!

Now Playing: Leighton Meester "Your Love's A Drug"

Hi, babies!

First off, I just wanna say that last night I had a revelation brought on by my mother talking to me. I don't want to say very much about it because I believe that some thing are best not brought out loud into the universe, if that makes any sense (told y'all I'm a hippie). Anyway, I ask for just a general prayer (if you pray--if not, just pour some vodka out for me or something), sending me some positive vibes so that I can do the things that I want to start up. If this happens for me this will be BIG! I'm excited right now and I'm energized off of an amazing breakfast, so you'll have to excuse me.

Anyway, I just wanted to take a second to show you a fabulous wallet I revamped using the bottom of an old pair or jeans I was about to throw away. During this time of year I'm always cutting up old jeans and making cool shorts out of them, so I decided to do that. The bottom of the jeans was pretty cool and I was wondering what I could do with it, when I remembered an old wallet I'd bought from Forever 21 a year ago. It was falling apart and the front of the fabric was coming off, but the inside was pristine so I kept it, wondering if I'd ever be able to do anything with it.

I simply used Elmer's glue, cut the denim to fit the wallet, and glued it on. I let it dry for about three days. It's still a little shabby and needs some refining but I can't wait to show it off, so I'm probably going to take it to work today. If I can really get it refined I might just sell it, so let me know if you're interested!

Anyway, let me go get ready for work. I just thought I'd share that with you guys really quickly. Thanks for reading.

Look Of The Day!

I'm not gonna lie, I actually wore this outfit last week and I loved it so much I had to share it with you today! I claim to be a modern-day hippie and I definitely think this outfit personifies that, with a little dressiness. All of my jewelry is from Charlotte Russe (my favorite store!), as well as my blazer. You can't really see it in the pic, but it's a really silky, loose-fitted blazer, which is why it's my favorite jacket. It can be dressed up or down. My belt is a vintage find. My shirt is new from Forever 21, and my jeggings are from Target.

For my makeup, since I'm not blogging or going anywhere special I decided to play up my cheeks while leaving everything else pretty understated. I did a winged eye with black liquid eyeliner (I'm using L.A. Colors liquid eyeliner, which is pretty good!), a bright cheek with Cargo Blush in Laguna, and a slightly pink lip using Stila Lip Glaze in Grapefruit (my favorite shade!). I think it's a nice spring look with a little added bad ass.

So that's my 'fit of the day! I hope you guys enjoy! :D

Vintage Sites I LOVE Right Now!!!

Now Playing: Diddy-Dirty Money feat. The Notorious B.I.G. "Angels"

Hey, Lovelies!

Can I first of all just say how excited I am about spring? I no longer have to wear a coat to stay warm, I can wear a light jacket for fashion--or none at all! I am NOT a winter fan by any means of the word, so I'm very excited to break out rompers, hats, and pretty dresses (with grunged-up boots, of course).

So one of my friends Kandice (check out her blog at http://www.rottenkandee.blogspot.com) introduced me to a very cute little vintage clothing store based in DC, called Mila and Fire Vintage. Let. Me. Tell. You. These are two stylish chicks, and the clothes are VERY cute. I went on their website (http://www.milafirevintage.bigcartel.com) and everything is super adorable and unique. I simply fell in love and I think you guys will, too. It's amazing how easily vintage clothing can come to a girl like me, who doesn't have access to the most unique pieces--you can place online orders! I definitely plan on ordering from them very soon.

Another really great site is http://www.rumorsrva.com. When I was going to school in Richmond I used to go into Rumors and check out their unique finds. I never made a purchase because back then I wouldn't have known what the hell I was doing. But I'm very fortunate that they also take online orders. They get cute pieces on a regular basis--I was just on the site a few days ago and they already have up a few new things. So you guys should definitely check out those sites!

If you know of any other vintage websites, please let me know! I'm growing as a vintage shopper myself and I'd love to know where you guys shop for unique pieces!

Revamped Blog!!!!!

So, for those of you who have followed my blog before, it's now Feline of Avenue B, instead of Fashion Seizure! For those of you who have not followed my blog: Hi. Welcome to Feline of Avenue B! (lol) My blog was called Fashion Seizure at first because it's mostly fashion, but it was a big chaotic blog about everything I love. It's still going to be that, but I've changed so much in the span of a year and some change and I wanted a new blog to reflect that. I talk about music, fashion, makeup, hair, accessories, vintage shopping--anything you can imagine. My passion lies in makeup and beauty, so that's probably what you'll see a lot of.

I also have a Tumblr, and that's http://www.thecreolechronicles.tumblr.com. And I also have a YouTube channel--my name's CreoleBabyBritt up there. I do makeup tutorials as often as I can, so please take a moment to check those out, too.

I love checking out and shouting out amazing blogs, so please drop me a line--I hope you'll return the favor! Happy reading, lovelies!
